Grass-Fed Ground Beef
Ground beef is a staple in many different regions around the world and for good reason - it’s versatile, packed with protein, and easy to prepare. Our grass-fed and finished ground beef comes from our friends at Grand View Beef who only raise 100% grass-fed, pasture-raised cattle that receive no antibiotics, growth promotants, or added hormones. Most cattle spend a majority of their lives eating grass before being transferred to a feedlot to gain additional fat by eating grain. Grass-fed, grass-finished cattle stay on the pasture, eating a diet of grass and hay, resulting in a unique texture and taste.
COOKING TIPS: Grass-fed and finished ground beef is perfect for recipes where you want to actually notice the beef. Because it is slightly firmer than grain-finished beef, we love it in tacos, meatballs, pasta sauces, chilis, hamburgers, and meatloaves. Brown it in a frying pan, add your favourite seasonings or spices, and you’re done. Ground beef is just that easy.
